GENERAL INFORMATION

The In the Spirit: Northwest Native Arts Market and Festival will be open August 7 and 8, 2010.

DATES TO REMEMBER

Application deadline: May 14, 2010
Notification: May 24, 2010
Payment Due: June 23, 2010
Setup: August 7 at 8 AM
Market schedule: August 7, 2010, 10 AM-5 PM and August 8, 2010, 10 AM-5 PM

ELIGIBILITY

Vendor eligibility is in compliance with the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990 (P.L.101-644). A vendor must be a member of a state- or federally-recognized tribe, or certified as a tribal artisan by a tribe. New artists are required to send a copy of their Tribal Enrollment documentation, listing your enrollment number.

APPLICATION PROCESS

All vendors must apply to be part of the outdoor art market by May 14, 2010. If you have previously been a vendor, you must still apply but do not need to submit images. All new vendors must submit two images of sample artwork to be sold, along with the application.

HOW TO SUBMIT

New vendors are required to send a copy of their Tribal Enrollment documentation, listing enrollment number.

Please include digital images of up to two pieces on CD-ROM with mail-in form. In the instance of a faxed application, the digital images on CD-ROM must be mailed to Laura Grabhorn at the address shown above.

PAYMENT

The fee to participate is $150 and includes a tent, table, and chairs. Payment for the vending space secures your spot and will be due by June 23, 2010. All unreserved booths will be made available to other artists on July 5, 2010. If you have any questions on the market portion of the show, please contact feel free to contact Laura Grabhorn.

EVENT LOGISTICS

Set up begins at 8 AM on August 7. To volunteer to help with set up, please contact Laura Grabhorn by telephone at (360) 867-6413, or email at grabhorl@evergreen.edu.

Festival times
August 7, open 10 AM-5 PM and August 8, open 10 AM-5 PM

Booths
Tent size 10' X 10'.
One table with tablecloth and two chairs provided.
Museum passes will be available at the information table.
Booth assignments will be selected by artists as they arrive for set up on August 7. To secure a preferred booth location arrive by 8 AM. No booth assigments will be given prior to 8 AM.

Overnight storage
Overnight storage of merchandise will be available in the museum loading dock. Vendors will responsible for moving items to the storage location, and will be required to sign a waiver form.

PUBLICITY

Selected vendors and artists of In the Spirit: Northwest Native Arts Market and Festival give the TESC Longhouse and the Historical Society permission to use images of artwork and festival activities for publicity and fundraising purposes.
